These guys are barely a stone's throw from New Zealand after making the harrowing trip across the Tasman Sea from Australia- A trip that took the life of famous expedition kayaker Andrew McAuley just last year. This photo of their custom built "kayak" was taken at their official departure. I am very curious to see how it has held up, not to mention how the paddlers have held up!
